COLLINGSWOOD, NJ – The Collingswood School District officially celebrated a major milestone in its commitment to early childhood education yesterday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at Colls at Parkview. Located at 700 W. Browning Road, the new facility represents the district’s fifth dedicated preschool location and a significant leap toward achieving universal preschool for all eligible three- and four-year-olds in the community.

The event featured remarks from leadership and local elected officials, a musical performance by our youngest students, and a firsthand look at the daily learning environment now available to Collingswood families.

"The opening of Colls at Parkview is more than just an expansion of physical space; it is an investment in the foundational success of our youngest learners," said Dr. Fred McDowell, Superintendent of the Collingswood Public School District. "By increasing our capacity, we are ensuring that more families have access to high-quality, district-led early education right here in their neighborhood."

While Colls at Parkview began serving students on November 10, 2025, the event served as the formal introduction of the site to the broader community. The expansion is a key component of the district’s long-term strategic plan to provide equitable educational starts for all children in Collingswood.
